Version 5.0 of Intelliquip's Intelligent Front-End^sm Announced

BETHLEHEM, PA, USA - January 16, 2006 - In keeping with its commitment to provide software products with unsurpassed value for the fluids handling equipment industry, Intelliquip, LLC today released Version 5.0 of its Intelligent Front-End^sm browser-based sales automation software. This version, the 10th major upgrade in the last 5 years, continues Intelliquip's commitment to its customers by offering products with features unrivaled in the software technology market. Notable enhancements contained in Version 5.0 include:


The Intelliquip Configurator™ has been substantially modified to support complex pricing models based on a market price base, a cost base, or combination of both. A wide range of pricing manipulations are now supported to allow the user to quickly adapt discount multipliers, margins, or other factors to achieve desired price levels, across multiple quote items simultaneously.

The Intelliquip Quote Manager™ has been upgraded to readily support a wide range of fluids handling equipment, including pumps, compressors, blowers, valves, mixers, seals and filters.

• Quotes can be managed on a project level or a level with multiple or single quote items.



• An Order Manager module has been added to permit a clean order handoff from quotation to negotiation to order entry stages.



• A new Quick Quote function has been added allowing users to quickly navigate to known part numbers for rapid quotations. This feature is useful for spare parts quotations or equipment quotations based on catalog, serial, or customer part numbers. In addition to typical searching methods, a powerful parametric navigation scheme allows users to rapidly converge on the best part or equipment item using typical design/selection attributes.

The Intelliquip Selector™ has been enhanced with a new Inter-stage Take-off module for use in multistage centrifugal pump applications. This module models the effect of take-off flows at different stage locations, allowing a wide range of hydraulic combinations to be evaluated resulting in rapid optimization of hydraulics to best suite a given application's requirements. Complete performance predictions of the entire pump train are calculated and presented in curve and datasheet formats.
