Version 8.0 of Intelliquip's Intelligent Front-End Released
Bethlehem, PA USA - 3 May 2010 - Intelliquip, LLC today announced the release of Version 8.0 of its Intelligent Front-EndSM (IFE) web-based software that automates the front-end sales processes for engineered equipment manufacturers. As the 14th major release of its core software, it includes much anticipated feature updates to the Intelliquip Selector, Configurator, and Quote Manager, as well as the first release of the Compressible Flow Module and the xSheetsTM Dynamic Datasheet Module.
Intelliquip's launch of the Compressible Flow Selector for compressors, blowers, and fans builds upon Intelliquip's core selection and configuration technology. The module offers their manufacturers a powerful and cost effective solution for automating their front-end sales processes. Intelliquip xSheetsTM streamline the laborious process of inputting data into various datasheet formats. xSheetsTM are flexible, intelligent forms where technical data transactions can be viewed in a variety of datasheet layouts, edited quickly and easily, and stored, printed, or sent to others. Users can transfer technical data through a seamless interface between the Intelliquip IFESM and the xSheetsTM module.

A brief overview of select enhancements:
Intelliquip Quote ManagerTM : A new “item summary” feature has been added. It has potential for use in customer quotes, sub-supplier inquiries, and for internal management review. There are also improvements to customer lookups, library documents, and global privileges for quote editing.
Intelliquip SelectorTM : API 610 pump performance curves can now define the maximum allowable flow and minimal thermal flow. Calculation of vertical pump performance has also been improved for organizations that factor in static lift. Also, the search for multistage pumps using certain search criteria has changed to help the user make the optimum selection.
Intelliquip ConfiguratorTM : A new enhanced option override feature can create or edit configuration pricing and cost details. Improved pop-up comments and graphic images can now be displayed when mousing-over a subcategory option. Also, subcategory icons now indicate whether an option has been selected by the system or by the user.
Intelliquip Knowledge BuildersTM : Enhanced curve fitting has been applied within the Selector Knowledge Builder.
Other Enhancements : Units of measure have been enhanced as a result of the release of the Compressible Flow Module and xSheets. Security has also been enhanced with the use of SSL and two-tier user authentication.
