Applied Flow Technology and Intelliquip Update Two-Way Link for Internet Pump Selection Woodland Park, CO and Bethlehem, PA USA - March 29, 2010 - Users of Applied Flow Technology's (AFT) pipe system modeling and optimization software, AFT Fathom™ and AFT Mercury™, are now able to automatically transfer pump conditions of service to a number of Intelliquip clients’ web-enabled pump selectors. A pump selection can then be made and the actual pump performance data automatically downloaded to the modeling software. This integration reduces the time and increases the accuracy of developing system models that incorporate pumps.
Software aided pipe system modeling has become more important each year as companies demand piping designs that optimize the total cost of ownership. This includes the process of selecting the proper pump for the application. Both Intelliquip and AFT are committed to streamlining this modeling process by working together closely with their respective software products and their integration.
“Our focus for this collaboration was to make system design more convenient for engineers”, says Dave Brockway, Intelliquip President. “The partnership between AFT’s powerful software and the Intelliquip Selector is a well thought out integration that enhances the functionality of each of our applications.
The following pump companies are the first of many Intelliquip clients that will participate in this program: ABS, Berkeley, Blackmer, Ebara Fluid Handling, Grundfos/Paco Pumps, ITT Residential and Commercial-Texas Turbine Operations, Pumpworks 610, RuhrPumpen, Weir Floway, and Weir SP. If you are an AFT user, you can gain access to these company’s selectors via AFT Fathom and AFT Mercury software.
